Grace College Selects Portfolium Program Assessment and ePortfolios

Grace College & Seminary has chosen Portfolium’s program assessment and ePortfolio platform to link evidence-based assessment with program and institutional learning outcomes, creating innovative and efficient assessment practices for both faculty and administrators.

Portfolium, the highest-adopted learning success platform chosen by students and faculty, will provide students with the ability to capture, curate and translate curricular and co-curricular competencies into future recruitment opportunities, while giving educators the learning artifacts and tools needed to assess program and institutional student learning outcomes. Grace College plans to utilize Portfolium to meet all of their assessment needs while providing a tangible value to students in making their learning portable and showcased to employers.

“Standardizing program and institutional assessment is a challenge for every institution at which I have worked,” said John Lommel, Assistant Provost at Grace College, “By activating Portfolium's assessment software, we’re excited to streamline this process and revolutionize the way our departments evaluate learning outcomes while providing students with an ePortfolio to further their career after they graduate.”

Due to a seamless bidirectional integration with the college’s learning management system (LMS), Moodle, and an intuitive user experience, Grace College is able to launch campuswide with minimal student and faculty training. Faculty and administration will benefit from the user-friendly program assessment software, which includes customizable rubrics, curriculum mapping and easy one-click reporting.

“At Portfolium, we know that our institutional partners need an easy way to perform program assessment that is beneficial and intuitive for administrators, faculty, and also uniquely for students,“ said Troy Markowitz, Vice President of Academic Partnerships at Portfolium. “We are excited to help Grace College achieve their institutional goals while also supporting their student success program helping students connect the skills attained from the class to employment opportunities with Portfolium.”

Portfolium’s ePortfolios are free for students to carry evidence of their curricular and co-curricular achievements and skills throughout the entire student lifecycle and beyond as alumni. As part of Portfolium’s learning success network, employers are able to match student’s evidence of skills derived from what’s being measured in the class directly to the job criteria, enabling them to increase diversity in the workplace and for students to see direct value of their degree and program.
